Students must possess a Bachelor’s degree to receive the Certificate in Digital Studies. For OSU students, the certificate will be awarded upon completion of the Bachelor’s Degree. 9 hours must be completed in residence at OSU. Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0, and a GPA of 2.5 with a minimum grade of “C” in all Digital Studies coursework.
The certificate contains 6 hours of required coursework, including a capstone research or internship experience, and 9 hours of electives in two areas: Digital Application and Computing and Information Sciences. Six hours must be at the upper division level, and courses must be from at least 2 departments or programs. Courses not on this list may be approved for the certificate on a case-by-case basis. Submit requests for approval to the Digital Studies Curriculum Committee by contacting Mary Larson at mary.larson@okstate.edu.
